Overnight Options

We provide two main accommodation options for this safari:

  • Stay Inside the Park (Recommended):
Experience the thrill of waking up right where the action is. Overnighting inside Kruger means no daily gate transfers or permit hassles — just seamless, immersive wildlife encounters. You’ll also have the opportunity to join optional night drives or guided camp walks to photograph nocturnal animals.
  • Stay Outside the Park:
Enjoy lodge or hotel comforts on the park’s outskirts. While convenient, this option involves driving to the park gates each morning and handling permit processing before entering.

Tailored for Photographers

At Wild Photo Africa, we know every photographer has unique goals and preferences. Before your safari, we’ll discuss your specific photographic mission and tailor each day to meet your expectations—always striving to deliver the best possible experience within realistic limits.

Private Safari Experience

All our photographic safaris are private, guaranteeing you and your group exclusive use of the vehicle and your dedicated photographic guide. Your guide focuses fully on your party to help you get the perfect shot.

Extended Safari Hours

Unlike typical safaris limited to 8 hours, our photographic days run from gate opening to gate closing, maximizing your chances for spectacular photos in the early morning and late afternoon light—the prime times for wildlife activity.

Pickup times depend on gate opening hours and your pickup location, usually aiming to enter the park between 05:30 and 06:00. We remain in the park until gate closing unless you request otherwise.

Safari Itinerary

Day 1

You’ll be collected from your chosen pickup point and transferred to the nearest Kruger gate. After a brief meeting to align on photographic goals and what to expect, your wildlife adventure begins. Along the way, we’ll take short breaks for refreshments. Around mid-afternoon, you’ll check in to your camp before heading out again to capture the soft golden light of sunset. Dinner is enjoyed at camp, where you can also discuss plans for the next day. Optional night drives or guided camp walks offer exciting nocturnal photo opportunities.

Day 2-4

Each day starts early, with coffee and rusks served onboard as you watch the sunrise and get ready to photograph wildlife in ideal light and active conditions. Your photographic journey continues all day, returning to camp for rest and meals, and the chance to reflect on the day’s highlights.

Day 5

After a final morning safari and breakfast, your safari concludes according to your departure plans.
