Day Trip Safaris

Full Day Kruger Safari Tours

A day in the Kruger National Park can be one of the most rewarding experiences in South Africa—especially when it’s done properly. Our guided day trips in an open safari vehicle are designed to maximise your time in the park, increase your chances of meaningful sightings, and give you a deeper understanding of what you’re seeing along the way.

Kruger is vast, and a single day will only cover a portion of it—but with an expert guide reading the conditions, choosing the right areas, and interpreting behaviour, a day trip becomes far more than a quick drive. It becomes a true safari experience: paced, professional, and packed with the small details that most visitors miss.

Shared & Private Day Trips

We offer both shared and private day trips:

  • Shared Day Trips – a cost-effective way to experience Kruger with other like-minded guests, guided to the same high standard.
  • Private Day Trips – you book the entire vehicle for your group (up to 10 guests), ideal for families, photographers, birders, and anyone who prefers a more flexible, personal pace.

Private safaris also allow for greater flexibility with timing, time spent at sightings, and the overall focus of the day.

Easy Online Booking (Live Availability)

For day trips, we offer a convenient online live booking platform, making it easy to view availability and secure your safari in just a few clicks.

If you don’t see availability on your preferred date, please contact us directly. We will always do our best to accommodate you. In peak periods our own vehicles can book out, but we have a trusted network of professional safari operators who share the same guiding ethics and standards as Wild Photo Africa. When needed, we can charter additional vehicles through these partners—while still ensuring your safari is led by our own specialist guides wherever possible.

Open Safari Vehicles (Comfort + Visibility)

We operate in professional open safari vehicles for the best possible viewing and photographic opportunities. Our vehicles have roll-down canvas sides and we provide fleece-lined ponchos to keep you comfortable on cold mornings or windy drives to the park. Once inside Kruger, the vehicle is opened for a clear, 360-degree view of the bush around you.

A classic early start to catch the park at its most active.

These specialist guides are in high demand and subject to availability, so we recommend booking well in advance and letting us know your preference when you enquire.
