Why Choose This Safari?

The Kruger National Park is a mosaic of varied landscapes — from lush forests and open savannas to dense bushlands and grasslands. This rich diversity creates habitats for an extraordinary variety of wildlife and bird species, making Kruger one of Africa’s premier destinations for wildlife photography.

Spanning roughly 2 million hectares, the park teems with life, including the famed Big Five: lions (estimated 1,600), elephants (around 20,000), buffalo (approx. 48,000), and leopards (about 1,000). While spotting the Big Five is often a highlight, the park is also home to countless fascinating animals and birds, making every moment in the bush exciting and unique.

A Truly Iconic Safari

This package is ideal for photographers wanting a comprehensive yet manageable safari length. It offers the perfect balance — enough time to explore diverse regions of the park and capture a wide array of subjects.

At Wild Photo Africa, we recognize every photographer’s vision is unique. Before your safari, we’ll discuss your photographic objectives and tailor the itinerary accordingly, ensuring your experience is both rewarding and enjoyable.

Private & Personalized

All our photographic safaris are private. You and your group have exclusive use of the vehicle and your dedicated photographic guide. Your guide will focus entirely on your needs — assisting with on-the-go photography tips, positioning for optimal shots, and even post-processing advice.

Optimal Photography Timing

We plan most drives for early mornings and late afternoons — the best times for light and wildlife activity. However, flexibility is key: if there’s a promising sighting or a desire to explore a new area, we can adapt and stay out longer to maximize photographic opportunities.

Food & Drinks Options

  • Self-Catering: Camps have quality shops and restaurants; prepare meals yourself or dine out.
  • All Meals Included: We can arrange full catering.
  • Partial Meals Included: Choose your preferred option.
  • When meals are included, enjoy a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) — a true local culinary experience.
