This is the ultimate Kruger National Park Safari!
Covering the park in 15 days, you will see most of the park. We will be spending 14 nights in the Kruger National Park in 6 different camps in the Southern, Central and Northern Regions of the park. Covering the entire park from North to South and traversing all its different habitats, will increase your chances of finding most of the animals and birds with some spectacular sightings. This package is also perfect for you to do some additional optional activities like bushwalks, night drives etc (Please see Optional activities sheet).
We typically (if accommodation availability allows) stay 2 or 3 nights in a camp. This means you can unpack, relax, and enjoy each camp for what it is. Normally we suggest we do every second day a full day game drive and the day in between a morning and afternoon drive, allowing you to enjoy the pool or catch an afternoon nap to recharge those batteries.
The camps themselves offer great opportunities to walk around and enjoy the sceneries, birds, sounds and smells. At night you can walk along the fence line with your flashlight and look for Hyenas or any other nocturnal animals that might come and visit the camp fence. You also have a chance of seeing owls at night in camp, which are very difficult to find during the day. As a photographer the camps offer the perfect opportunity to photograph birds and nocturnal animals as they are very habituated to people and allow you to get quite close (please remember these are still wild animals and a safe distance should always be given)
On these packages we are quite flexible when it comes to times for example game drive times etc. We leave it up to the guests and their guide to decide on how their day will commence.
Because wildlife photography is our priority and we would like you to get the best opportunity to capture unique photos, we will send you a questionnaire prior to your safari to understand what you are expecting from this safari. This will give the guide an opportunity to prepare beforehand and thus maximise the chances of getting what you wish for. Please also communicate with your guide while on safari of what your expectations are.
Mornings and late afternoons are the best time for photography, and we usually plan our safaris accordingly so that we are out there at the best times of the day. However, we are flexible and if we have a possible good sighting or we would like to go to another area we adapt and can stay out the whole day. We are there to get those photos and we will do what needs to be done to get them.
We offer optional activities that can be done at various camps. Please let us know in advance if you are interested in doing some of these to secure your spot. Otherwise, you can also talk to your guide while on safari about these options and where they are best to do, however there is then a good chance that these activities might be fully booked already.

Your guide will also assist with tutoring on the vehicle where needed and with post-processing of images.
The camps we stay in will depend on the time of the year and availability. We do however try to book 5 different camps spread out over the entire park for 2 nights at each camp. The reasoning behind this is because animals have seasonal movements, and we would like to be in the best areas possible for us to have the best chance in finding them. We also opt for 2 nights at each camp, this is because of off check-out and check-in times. When we move from one rest camp to the next, we need to check out by 10Am, and we can only check in back at 14:00. We normally use these days to do a full day game drive and spend our time searching for animals. By having 2 nights at a rest camp, allows us more flexibility and time to change it up by doing an early morning drive and late afternoon drive. This gives you some time during the middle of the day when its at its hottest, to rest, enjoy the swimming pool or even to enjoy a cold beer at the restaurant overlooking a river.
Some of the camps that we enjoy staying in but not limited are

A partial Itinerary for the 10 Night Kruger Park Safari
You can have a look at the below example on how our days will be spent. This is just a rough idea, and your guide will plan the days with you. This itinerary is designed to be flexible. This is a photographic safari, and we will adapt on the go to allow us maximum time to photograph our subjects. For example, if we see an opportunity where we might witness a kill, we might stay out much longer than normal.
