Our Photographic Full Day Game Drives start bright and early! These drives are typically from gate opening to closing so that we can make use of the best light in the mornings and afternoons. If you accommodation is close to the park, we can split the drives if a morning and afternoon drive, but otherwise, it is a long full day with an extended lunch break. Our main objective on this trip is to get some incredible shots. This means that we will be far more patient on sightings, stay longer, position the vehicle in a way that benefits the photographer, we won’t be bound to times, and we will try our very best to get those shots you are looking for. I will send you a questionnaire which you need to complete for me so that I can see what you are looking for. Every photographer has an idea of what type of photos they would like to get. While we are on the vehicle, your guide will assist and tutor you wherever it is needed. Your guide is also very experienced and knows animal behaviour extremely well. He will be able to anticipate the behaviour and he will alert you beforehand so that you have the best possible chance in getting that photo. Our photographic guides are photographers themselves and know exactly how to manoeuvre the vehicle so that you as a photographer, is in the best position.
We collect our guests from any guest house, lodge, or hotel at any of the towns or gates surrounding the Kruger National Park. The open safari vehicles have roll down sides to protect you from the elements. We also have fleece lined ponchos to protect you in the case of rain. After collection we will proceed to the nearest entrance gate where we will pay entrances and start the game drive. We will stop for breakfast and lunch, but because this is a photographic safari, we are not bound by times and adapt as the day continues. Our focus is on photography and making the most of the time we have available.
