Join us for an exciting day trip in an open safari vehicle to the Kruger National Park. Taking a guided day trip in an open safari vehicle in to the KNP is the best way to visit the park. Our guides are experienced, knowledgeable and will go out of the way to ensure you have a memorable time. The KNP is enormous, and you will only see a small part of it on a day trip, but it will give you a taste of what the KNP is about and by exploring the park with a guide, you will have the best chance of spotting those elusive animals.
We operate our day trips from all the towns surrounding the southern reaches of the Kruger National Park. We collect our guests from any of the Guest Houses, Lodges and Hotels or we can meet at the entrance gates of the Kruger Park. The open safari vehicle has roll down canvas sides and fleece lined ponchos to protect you from the elements while driving to the park. Once at the park, your guide will open the vehicle to give a 360-degree open view around you.
We have the options of doing a Full day game drive (+- 10hrs) or a half day game drive (+-6hrs). Pick-ups at the different locations will be communicated at the time of booking with our guests, but in general, the full day game drives and half day morning game drives depart at 04:00 – 05:00 in the morning and our half day afternoon game drive starts at 13:00. You can also book a private safari with us. With our private safaris you book the entire vehicle to yourself. The vehicle can accommodate up to 10 people. This is the perfect way to avoid having strangers on the vehicle. We are also very flexible with our private tours regarding times and on how we conduct the safari. Specialists guided day trips can also be booked. Our Birding and Photographic Day Trips are very popular among all types of birders and photographers, from amateurs to professionals. We have specialist guides who conduct these drives for us, and it is important to mention that you would like a specialist for you game drive. These guides are sought after and will be subject to availability. By booking way in advance, you will have a good chance in securing these guides. We are also in the very fortunate position that we have several German Speaking Guides available to conduct game drives in German. Please make sure to book these services well in advance as the German speaking guides are in high demand. Please see the German Guided Day Trip for more info.
We don’t always have the time or the budget to do a long, multi day safari in the park or you might be on a business trip, and you only have a morning or a day free to visit the park. Doing a day trip into the park is an amazing and rewarding experience. It is the perfect way to see the park in day.
